How To Censor Rock Music Civ 6Posted by Mike Schuck
As you may have noticed, there are some pretty strong songs in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Some people seem to get really into them and enjoy listening to them until they play the next song and it is totally drowned out by all of the noise!
This article will go over some easy ways to censor rock music in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild so that none of the other songs can be heard. It will also talk about more difficult ways to do this if you want even harder censorship!
Removing the option to pick an instrument or voice pack? Check! Removing the ability to gain new equipment? Check! Absence of certain weapons? You got it!
All of these things can easily be done in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with just a few steps.
Restrict the sale of certain items
The second way to censor rock music is by restricting the sale of some item types. This can be done through either the player’s profile or game settings. Let’s look at both methods!
Profile censorship – this one is pretty straightforward, just don’t sell any helmets in your profile. That way you prevent players from being able to purchase them for their characters.
Alternatively, you could instead restrict the sale of shields, hobbies, heavy armor, and more. Just make sure that they are not purchasable as an equipment set because then people will keep trying to buy them separately.
Game level censorship – here we go deeper into the weeds. If you really want to get rid of all references to alcohol and drugs, disable the ability to craft alcoholic beverages and prescription narcotics in the economy section of the menu.
Monitor concerts and events
While it is great to be able to stream music and listen to songs anywhere, this can also expose you to content that may not be appropriate for all audiences.
For example, how would you feel if The Ramones played an acoustic show with only one song? It might sound weird but some songs really need no explanation!
There are several ways to monitor what artists your favorite musicians promote through collaborations or appearances. You can use YouTube to watch recorded shows and speeches, Spotify to follow artist lists, and Google to search for recent interviews and statements by popular artists.
By staying aware of what artists make references to in their lyrics and off-the-cuff remarks they make, you will know what concepts they should add to their playlist.
Tell your friends
Let’s say you don’t like an album, or you just can’t stand one song on it. You probably already know how easy it is to get rid of a music track in most games via the quick-release option, but why not take things one step further?
There are several ways that you can censor rock songs in The Elder Scrolls Online. Some are more stealthy than others, so be careful what options you use for each type!
Option 1: Use the IGGO Launcher
This launcher is designed specifically to remove all references to certain words and lyrics from any game (including ESO). All you have to do is pick a category, add the word/phrase, and click launch scanner. It will then scan through the whole game looking for instances of that word and erase them if possible.
However, there is a downside to this tool. Because it erases every instance of the word anywhere in the game, some people may notice changes to the plot. If this bothers you, try the next solution.
Become a rock star
As we mentioned before, there are several ways to censor songs in The Civic Series. This article will go into more detail about each one and how to use them!
First off, you can simply buy up all of the music that an artist has released through their record label or management company. By doing this, you have eliminated that song from being listened to for that time period at least.
The second way is to purchase some copyrighted material which includes albums or individual tracks. By doing so, it becomes very difficult to find those items anywhere but online shopping sites like Amazon. These sites also make it easy to keep tabs on what you are buying by asking you to confirm your identity.
Thirdly, create an account with streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, or Google Play. By doing this, not only do you get access to the songs, but you also have the opportunity to listen without anyone else hearing it unless they are using the same service.
Fourth, don’t ever take something down because someone didn’t like it.
Find your favorite band and their songs
The easiest way to begin censoring music is by finding your favorite band or musician! There are many ways to do this, from listening to lots of music and determining what you like, to searching for bands online and studying their material.
Some people start with an artist they have listened to before and then look into how popular their songs are. For example, if you love Adele, then you would probably know most of her songs very well. If you read our article about music theory in depth, you may be able to determine why some pieces are more popular than others.
By learning these things, you can effectively censor certain artists that don’t fit your style. That way, you only listen to music you want!
There are also apps and websites that let you create lists of things (like songs, movies, etc.) so that you can quickly find and remove items that you no longer desire to add to your collection.
Delete their songs
Another way to censor rock music is by deleting its songs or replacing them with other songs. Some governments use this tactic in order to limit people’s access to certain types of music, so it makes sense for you to do it in Civilization VI!
By searching your library for any song that sounds like one of the banned songs, you can remove those songs completely! You also have an option to replace the song with another one.
For example, if there is a song called “Bad Guy”, then searching for just that word will remove that song entirely!
There are two reasons why doing this is bad. First, it shows how much power you want to take away from someone by censoring something they enjoy. Second, it may be considered discriminatory towards individuals who listen to these songs.
Record and listen to music on your own
As we mentioned before, you can always use different headphones or earbuds to censor what you want to hear. You could also have someone else do it for you! If you are very careful with which songs you choose to listen to, then there is not much need to use any audio filtering software.
However, some people find that listening to certain types of music makes them feel uncomfortable or even stressed out. For these individuals, using an audio filter app is their best option.
There are many free apps available online and in mobile app stores that allow you to block or silence specific songs. The most well-known ones are probably Spotify’s Tune-Off feature and YouTube's Block Mode.
Watch movie and TV shows
In addition to listening to music you can also censor which movies and television shows you watch. This is helpful in two ways: first, you can use it as a way to reduce sound effects for some games, like The Division or Mafia III! Second, it gives you more options for what kind of content you want to see.
There are several good video streaming services that do not feature any form of censorship. Some examples include YouTube, Amazon, and Netflix. All three have their positives and negatives so choose one that fits your needs well.
They all allow you to create an account free with limited features. After that, you can add extra money packages to gain additional functions such as creating groups, chatting, etc. More advanced users may opt to go pro to access full functionality.
