It’s easy to get distracted when you want to learn how to play guitar, but this is actually a bad thing! If you find yourself unable to focus because there are too many things that need your attention, then it’s probably time to make some changes.

It’s totally normal to feel overwhelmed at times. You will always have new things to do as you grow as a musician, but that doesn’t mean you have to add more stuff into your schedule. Add something new every day if you must, but try to keep things organized by doing one or two things each week.

That way you will stay focused on what needs done and can easily skip non-essential tasks. Don’t forget about practice either – even a few minutes of music activity every day will help you achieve your goals.

There’s no reason why you should only be able to play for five minutes today, so pick a length of time and do that every day. Even half an hour will help, though perhaps not as much as a longer session. We all have different abilities so don’t compare yourself with others.

Once you have mastered one area of playing guitar, move onto the next bit. There’s no rushing progress nor should there be! Take your time to enjoy what you know before moving on to learn something new.

Practice using slow, steady movements until you achieve success! And don’t worry if you make a mistake – we all have! Keep going!

For example, say your song starts with two chords. You choose the second chord randomly and read it twice quickly without paying attention to any other parts of the music.

Tone your guitar
